American Heart Institute (AHA)
Life Support Center:
The Life Support Center belongs to the management of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz College for EMS. The center was launched in 2011 on the campus of the college, which is recognized internationally in both the United States of America in Dallas, Chicago, Florida, Massachusetts and Australia as part of the network of the American Heart Association, American Health and safety Institute, the Institute of Safety and Emergency Care and the  Australian Registry for EMS Technicians.
American Heart Association : Basic Cardiopulmonary Resucitation:
Sudden cases of cardiac arrest are considered  most of the common causes of death, where the patient dies before he reaches the hospital so, CPR courses are conducted which are designed  to train public as well as health care providers for rapid intervention and save the lives of people of different ages who are exposed to cases of life-threatening danger.
The trainee will learn:
Life Support Series
How to provide CPR for adults
How to provide CPR for children and infants
How to use the AED trainer
Emergency measures in cases of choking and airway obstruction
How to recognize cases of heart attack and symptoms of stroke
Advanced CPR:
These courses are prepared for medical staff who participate in providing advanced medical care for cases of sudden cardiac arrest, whether inside or outside the hospital.
 
The trainee acquires upon completion of the course the following skills:
- Knowledge of opening the ventilation airway and providing artificial respiration
- How to use the AED trainer to give an electric charge
- How to read and interpret the heart rhythm
- How to deal with each case according to diagnosis
- How to get intravenous access to give the necessary emergency medicine
Advanced CPR for children and infants:
This course is designed for providing medical staff with essential information for the management of advanced resuscitation cases for children and infants to prevent sudden cardiac arrest.

In this course, the student will learn the process of how to do CPR for children and infants in a smooth way and cooperation with the various medical specialties to work as a team.

This course is specially prepared for pediatricians, emergency, paramedics, nurses and other medical specialties who are present in the critical moments from  the first day of newborn babies’ life.
Advanced CPR course for the experts to support life for adults, children and infants:
This course is designed to provide medical staff advanced information-based trainers’ explanation, sheds light on the importance of the  team dynamics, communication skills, systems of care and immediate care after heart and Chest angina . The course includes the management and treatment of respiratory tract and science of pharmacy-related medical drugs.
Hands-on skills training is carried out through large and small group sessions by means of collective learning and stations of test scenarios. The successful completion of the course demonstrates the efficiency of skills in all educational stations and pass the CPR skills , oxygen mask techniques , AED and pass the written tests . Upon completion of (Mega code) successfully, students will get an Advanced CPR Trainer Card for life support valid for two years. In this course student will learn the process of how to do CPR for children and infants in  smoothly and cooperation with the various medical specialties to work as a team.

This course is specially prepared for pediatricians, emergency, paramedics, nurses and other medical specialties who are present  in critical moments from the first day  of newborn babies’ life.
First Aid and CPR:
The first aid course aims to develop the trainees' skills and confidence in providing emergency first aid at the right time, allowing the rescue of life, and the course includes a training on the request for a help and immediately start of administering the first-aid situations, such as wounds, burns and fractures, including CPR through life support series.
Educational Goals
- Applying CPR through life support series
- Training on first aid in cases of burns, heat stroke
- Training on first aid in cases of bleeding and wounds
- Training on first aid in cases of bone and joint injuries
- Training on first aid in cases of angina pectoris  and epileptic seizures
- Training on first aid in cases of eye injuries
- Training on first aid in cases of high and low body temperature
- Training on first aid in cases of a bruised chest, abdomen, pelvis and head
- Training on first aid and other emergency situations: sting, poisoning. Drowning and electric shock
Trainees:  For whom this course is given?
To each person is in his place of work , residence or place where the incident occurs away from medical care centers, and the arrival of the ambulance requires time, and is subject to question, then he has to begin immediately learning first aid skills.
