eLearning & IT Units' Director Message

Welcome Message :

It is my tremendous pleasure and utmost honor to briefly furnish launching history of Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz College for Emergency Medical Services in the form of keen interest expressed by Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz with a profound desire to establish a unique innovative platform for provision of essential lifesaving emergency medical services to the civilians/ public at large not only in the best interest of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but later on with the leadership vision to replicate the same model in remaining GCC/ Middle East Countries/ Asia also.

This all was carried out precisely by flourishing the already established infrastructure of the King Saud University broadly revolving around provision of excellent state of art education, production of the innovative researchers and researches in multiple fields which shall not only serve the society but shall also play a significant role in building the knowledge pool along-with flourishing a motivated environment for learners and think-tanks of future while utilizing the best technology for recruitment both locally and globally. Founded in 1957, King Saud University is Saudi Arabia’s premier university and one of the top tertiary institutions in the region. With a wide range of colleges inclusive of Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz College for EMS, advanced research centers, and collaborations with distinguished researchers around the globe, King Saud University without any doubts is equipping the nation’s future leaders. This all education, values and specialized skills shall enable the graduates of college to lead professional life with the highest academic precision ever acquired by any academic institution and ready to be delivered through information technology in the best interest of the Kingdom.

In order for the visionary deanship of the College to professionally carry out responsibility of developing state of the art system of imparting education in the Emergency Medical Service Field, a dire need was identified to capacity build the faculty members and future students. Hence, the stepping stone of e-learning was created to bridge this gap. eLearning is an inclusive term that describes educational technology that electronically or technologically supports learning and teaching. Bernard Luskin, a pioneer of e-learning, advocates that the "e" should be interpreted to mean "exciting, energetic, enthusiastic, emotional, extended, excellent, and educational" in addition to "electronic." This broad interpretation focuses on new applications and developments, and also brings learning and media psychology into consideration. Parks suggested that the "e" should refer to "everything, everyone, engaging, easy".

It is my privilege as Head of Department that eLearning Team under the Deanship shall execute the same visionary potential and shall follow the foot-steps of Bernard Insha’Allah in the best interest of this College.
