Learning Resources Unit - An Overview

It is one of the administrative entities in the college, organizationally linked to the College's Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. The unit is responsible for providing suitable educational content, developing the teaching and learning environment, and working on leveraging modern technology to diversify learning resources.

Objectives

  1. To enhance the processes of teaching and learning by benefiting from various types of learning resources.
  2. To provide opportunities for self-directed learning and enhance research and exploration skills among learners.
  3. To offer educational experiences that encourage learners and others to become skilled users and creators of information.

Tasks

  1. To provide an appropriate environment for researchers to use diverse information sources.
  2. To equip learners with skills and tools that enable them to adapt to and benefit from the rapid developments in information systems.
  3. To enable teachers to use modern methods in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating lesson materials by training them on the latest tools.
  4. To assist in organizing and classifying educational resources, making them easier to access.
  5. To create a database related to learning resources in emergency medical services.
  6. To assist faculty members and students in accessing available information sources within and outside the university.
  7. To coordinate with university entities regarding learning resources in a way that serves learners.
  8. To update the college's website regarding the unit.
