Graduate Studies Unit - An Overview
It is one of the administrative entities in the college, organizationally linked to the Vice Deanship for Educational Affairs and Scientific Research. The unit is responsible for overseeing graduate studies in the college to achieve quality in academic and research performance.
Objectives
- Provide an opportunity for outstanding graduates to pursue advanced studies.
- Offer distinguished academic programs that meet community needs.
- Contribute to stimulating scientific research within the university.
- Continuously develop the offered academic programs.
Tasks
- Implement and follow up on the college’s graduate studies policy.
- Develop and review the admission requirements for graduate studies.
- Monitor the graduate studies processes in the college, including exams and committees.
- Coordinate with other college units in all related fields.
- Prepare an orientation program for graduate students and ensure its implementation.
- Receive graduate students' application files submitted to the Deanship of Graduate Studies and distribute them to the relevant academic departments.
- Receive department decisions regarding graduate students' applications.
- Implement requests for postponement, withdrawal from studies, course drop/add, and denial lists according to the regulations and decisions issued for graduate students.
- Update the college website concerning the unit’s activities.
