Academic Counseling Unit - An Overview
It is one of the administrative entities in the college, organizationally linked to the Vice Deanship for Educational and Academic Affairs. The unit is responsible for supporting students' academic journey, identifying talented and struggling students, and providing them with suggestions and advice that contribute to their success and timely graduation.
Objectives
- Assist students throughout their educational journey to successfully complete their studies.
- Monitor students academically and help them progress in their studies.
- Identify talented, high-achieving, and academically struggling students.
Tasks
- Provide necessary counseling for students regarding their academic and non-academic problems related to the college.
- Solve academic issues that departments cannot resolve, in coordination with the responsible entities in the college and the university, in collaboration with the Vice Deanship for Educational and Academic Affairs.
- Provide counseling services for academically outstanding students by creating an environment conducive to showcasing their multiple areas of excellence, including scientific, literary, artistic, and athletic fields, in coordination with the departments and university entities specializing in these areas.
- Guide and support academically struggling students, assist them in improving their academic performance, and help them overcome challenges, in coordination with the departments and relevant university entities.
