STUDENT AFFAIRS UNIT
Student Affairs Unit - An Overview
It is one of the administrative entities in the college, organizationally linked to the Vice Deanship for Educational and Academic Affairs. It is assigned responsibilities related to internal student issues, student complaints and grievances, as well as social and psychological matters concerning student life at the university. The unit is also connected to the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at the university concerning college students.
Objectives
- Enhance the level of support and assistance for college students.
- Overcome academic challenges students face during their educational journey in the college.
Tasks
- Issue all publications and materials related to college students, which fall under the unit’s responsibilities.
- Apply the regulations, decisions, and systems related to educational affairs in the college.
- Prepare lists of candidates for admission and send them to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.
- Prepare recommendations for disciplinary cases concerning students according to the university's disciplinary regulations and implement the decisions issued against them, reporting them to the Vice Dean of the college.
- Prepare meetings for the Student Affairs Committee, follow up on the implementation of its decisions, and write meeting minutes.
- Provide relevant departments and colleges with information about student absences with valid excuses.
- Follow up on student course registration, including course withdrawal and addition, in coordination with academic departments in the college.
- Monitor and maintain classrooms and academic equipment.
- Archive and preserve student files.
